Cabin Creek Brewing prides itself on offering a small, but thoughtfully crafted menu that perfectly complements their handcrafted beers. As canine food critics and connoisseurs, Rolo, Ruby, and the humans in our group unanimously vouched for the tantalizing fish and chips. The crispy beer-battered fish, accompanied by golden fries, left us salivating for more. It’s safe to say that this dish alone could convince anyone to make the trip to Georgetown, Colorado! The humans also gleefully smiled in delight and surprise when the handmade dough and toppings on the wood-fired prosciutto pizza with olive oil, mozzarella, crispy prosciutto, goat cheese, and arugula was presented [sadly photos were not captured as papa Jon devoured more than one slice and left little for Melanie @ melaniewittphotography to capture through the lens.
Sip and Soak in the 360 Views
What sets Cabin Creek Brewing apart from other breweries in Colorado’s Front Range is its unparalleled scenic location. Prepare to be captivated by the breath-stealing views of the adjacent lake and majestic mountains that serve as an idyllic backdrop for your beer-sipping and fish-munching experience. Take your time, unwind, and soak in the serenity while sipping on one of Cabin Creek Brewing’s expertly crafted beers. Melanie had the “Hoppy” Beer Flight, which included 4 oz. pours of four of the brewery’s hop forward beers – Trail Tag, a hazy IPA with Strata, Citra, and Mosaic hops, 4Lo, and American IPA, Lost in Froth an Australian Pale Ale, and Lake Effect, an Indian Pale Lager. The flight cost $12 and was worth it to sample some local hoppy beers. We also had the Clear Creek Collins, a refreshing option with gin, elderflower, lime, cucumber, and soda water for $13.
An In-Depth Review of the Hazy IPA “Trail Tag”
Crafted with a masterful touch, this hazy IPA seamlessly blends the interplay of Strata, Citra, and Mosaic hops with an artistry akin to that of a skilled maestro. Every sip of this libation transported me to a tropical oasis.
The symphony of flavors danced on my palate, harmoniously weaving together succulent mango, tantalizing tropical fruit, delicate pine undertones, and a spirited whisper of grapefruit. My senses catapulted me from this tranquil lakeside retreat in Colorado to our utterly quiet and peaceful private retreat on the beaches of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands.
This artful blend of hops is a testament to the brewer’s virtuosity, creating a melange of flavors that cascades with a finesse worthy of an undisputed maestro.
With an enchanting allure, the inviting aromas embrace the senses, leading one on an immersive gustatory journey. Like a masterfully conducted symphony, each sip reveals new layers of complexity as waves of mango and tropical fruit notes gently caress the taste buds, creating a crescendo of pleasure.
In this elixir, the brewmaster has woven an ode to the hop, a shimmering tapestry of flavors that showcases the true versatility and expressive nature of these exalted ingredients. This hazy IPA leaves an indelible mark on the palate, etching itself into one’s beer-loving spirit long after the final sip is taken.
